How Can Diarrhea Caused By Metformin Be Treated?

My husband was taking one form of metformin and started having diarrhea really bad stool had Lima bean looking objects in the stool.. called his doctor and now he has prescribed metformin h c I 850 mg will this cause the same problems the diarrhea gets bad where he can t control it.

hai, i understood your problem, rather than metformin hcl it is metformin extendedrelease tablets that may reduce or prevent the diarrhea.also use probiotics like sporolac sachets along with this..if there is no improvement even after that better to switch to other group drugs
