How Can Diverticulitis And Kidney Stones Be Treated?
Two weeks ago I went to the hospital with extreme abdominal pain and pain in my side. Diagnosed with kidney stone and diverticulitis. Had surgery to remove the stone and insert a stent. However, the stone moved up in my kidney and could not be retrieved. Doc said that I had a perforated kidney. Came home in pain and must have passed the stone when I was having another scan as outpatient. Went back to hospital for a lipotripsy but the stone was gone. New stent was put in. Stent caused a lot of pain and doc removed it very quickly after my second surgery. I am still very tired. How long should it take to recover from a perforated kidney?

How Can Diverticulitis And Kidney Stones Be Treated?
Hello, As long as there is no infection, you will be alright soon. Just continue the antibiotics that you have been prescribed. Follow up if any issues and also if the perforation increases or you have sudden exacerbating pain, then go to the emergency as soon as possible. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Jinela Desouza
