Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your query, you have symptoms of earache and pain in the throat which is mainly due to tooth abscess which is building pressure and could be due to upper respiratory tract infection spread to ear through eustachian tube.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take ibuprofen for pain and apply dry warm compresses on external ear. You should consult dentist/ENT specialist for proper checkup.
Doctor may order blood tests and throat swab tests. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with anti-inflammatory medicines. Avoid cold carbonated beverages and avoid intake of hot, sharp and spicy foods. You should do warm saline gargles.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
