Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can Elevated BP Along With Constant Headaches Be Managed?
My blood pressure has been high for 4 days, 179/94, 200/101, 168/104. My Dr increased my lisinopril and atenolol and said it would come down in a week or so. I have a constant headache and don t understand why Dr didn t do more. Should I wait for a week to do something?
In this case your headache is due to change of blood pressure. This mean you had have for a while high blood pressure and your body was used with that.
Now that the pressure is slowing down due medication this change of pressure causes headache. This headache will stop when your body is used with your normalized blood pressure. So you should wait and your headache will pass away.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Elona Dashi
