How Can Elevated Blood Pressure Levels Be Treated?

i took amlodipine/benazepril 10/40 for about five years...because i have a rapid heart rate gp changed to first to 40mg lysinepril 50 mg of metoprolol....didnt work gp added more metoprolol didnt work.....i am now taking benicar. 40mg 200mg metoprolol. my heart has gone from 130 to 80....but the blood pressure is a little high like 142/86....what can i do....gp talked about added another pill.

We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, the reading of iOS pressure isn't that high at the moment with current regimen however adding diuretic like thiazide diruretic can be of help or indapamide can be another option. Also salt restriction and exercise can be also helpful to control the readings.
