How Can Elevated Blood Pressure Levels Be Treated?

I ve been seeing a family doctor regarding high blood pressure, I ve been put on several medications over the last 8 months and nothing seems to be bringing down my blood pressure, (on two different types, one at night and one in the am). I go to the doctor every month and she changes the medication or just the dosage changes. Is this common to take so long to find the correct med s? thank you....

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Blood pressure can be essential or secondary due to kidney disease or other problems which should be evaluated and there are so many medicines to treat the hypertension and we cannot surely say that which one will be exact for you.

It can be decide by age risk factor other comorbidity etc.so that may happen sometimes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani
