How Can Elevated Blood Pressure Levels Be Treated?
thank you, I am taking toprolol 25 mg 1 a day for bp. recently my bp has risen from 135/72 to 156/93. I increased my meds to 50 mg but there was no change in my b/p. no change in my general health except for the elevated bp. I have had this issue for 1 week.
First of all, I would like to know your age to comment on your treatment and causes of hypertension.
As per general rule, if your blood pressure is not under control with beta blockers, then you should be started on ace inhibitors. Please consult your general physician as soon as possible.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Muhammad Adnan Iqbal
