Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You were using Propranolol medication for high blood pressure. Your blood pressure was under control with this medication, so no need to change drug without doctor advice.

There are basically four group of antihypertensive drugs and suitable medication prescribed after taking history and physical examination. So consult a physician for examination.

The secondary cause for blood pressure also needs to be ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
