Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my body is warm all the time. whenever someone shakes hand with me, they ask if I am having fever as my hands are so warm. I also feel heat on face. I have face acne issues and whenever I eat chocolate or take caffeine, I get acne on face. I have regular acne problem and all the time I have too many pimples on face. I try to drink 6-7 glasses of water but cannot increase my water usage despite of trying. I spend most of my time in AC.
The basic body temperature of some people may be a bit higher than the rest. On the other hand, if you check your temperature and it is less than 37.5 C (temperature checked on your armpit), then you do not have increased temperature that will need checks or is worrisome.
You may have a TSH and FT4 test done to rule out thyroid problems and if these come out normal and your temperature is always under 37.5C then you do not need to worry.
As for acne, there are specific treatments with local ointments such as isotretinoin and antibiotics (clindamycin) and if these do not work well enough you may try oral retinoids which will need regular follow up with a doctor.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
