How Can Facial Hyperpigmentation Caused By Trauma Be Treated?
While out of the country my 84 year old aunt fell and hit her forehead above her right eye one week ago. She refused to seek medical attention. The entire right side of her face became black. She has been icing it all week and it started to lighten up. Today it became black again and spread to her left eye and chin . I think it should be checked out . She doesn't. Is it serious?

old lady got hyperpigmentation on the face following trauma ,
black colour may be due to the bleeding in to the tissues following trauma .
make sure that she is not on any anticoagulants .if she is on anticoagulants ,the chances of bleeding is very high .
if it is not progressive ,u can apply cold compress and wait ..but if it is progressive and tensed better to consult a doctor
