How Can Fatigue And Edema After Recovering From Hepatitis C Infection Be Treated?
My brother had chronic hepatitis c and took harvoni which cured him of the hep but he has liver scarring stage 3. He has developed symptoms such as anemia, fatigue, belly bloating and feet swelling. He thinks his eyes may be slightly yellowish. He wants to wait til Monday to see a doctor, should he?
The symptoms of fatigue and edema are due to generalized health problem. His health needs much attention, continue to give him the prescribed medications and liver tonic. Give him antacids and Pantoprazole for relieve from bloating. You can give him enzyme for better digestion.
Get him CBC, repeat LFT and urinalysis done to access the liver condition. Continue to give him boiled food, diet rich in iron and calcium, it will help to reduce the edema.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
