How Can Floater In The Eye Due To Retinal Tear Be Treated?
I had a fairly large retinal tear this past Friday and was fortunate to be able to have laser surgery to repair the same day. That being said, I developed a new large floater and that eye has a haze like looking through a screen door. Also, I occasionally see spots of blood that goes away. Is all of this normal and should the hazing over the eye and the new large floater go away?
Floater in eyes develop due to some pathology in viterous humor. I suggest you consult your ophthalmologist for clinical assessment to look for a possible cause of floater in the eye.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
