How Can Fractured Toe Be Treated?

I have a small bone break to my big toe and doctor suggested my tabs and crepe bandage for 1st week. Then when I got x-ray a week later, came to know about the crack and now I am having plaster cast. Doctor asked me to come next week and he will remove the plaster. I would like to know if in some cases plaster cast for a week is enough as when I searched most of the sites say it takes 3 to 4 weeks of plaster cast.

Hello,
Welcom to Healthcaremagic.com.
As I read your query it is to be inferred that your fracture was already one to one and half week older. Any case your fracture must have healed half when you went for plaster.
So your doc must have applied the same reason and also certain hairline fractures even don't need plaster.
If you think you need to keep it more then one week you can keep it on for one more week for your satisfaction.
There is no harm to keep it on.
Hope my answer will help you. And you will be well soon.
Regards
