Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I had a right hemicolectomy in 3/14 (stage 4 colon cancer) and 6 mos. later incisional hernia repairs because the 1 chemo treatment I took prevented healing. I was fine between the two surgeries but since the hernia repairs I have frequent diarrhea. Imodium helps but I don t want to take it daily because I want it to work when I NEED it to work. This grows tiresome and I m not doing the usual adjusting that was predicted in 2-3 yrs. Is there a prescription medication that might help? Or something?
