How Can Gastritis And Acid Reflux Be Treated?

Hi there, I have been diagnosed with mild (albeit it doesn t feel mild) gastritis, which is being treated by Rabeprazole which now seem to be having little effect. I have this week had a tummy bug which has aggravated the issue and I feel like I m burning inside and have lots of wind in the chest and sternum. Is there anything I can take prescribed or otherwise or is this a life condition? Thank you

Hello,

You are having an acid reflux problem. For that Rabeprazole capsule prescribed can be taken which will help in relieving acidity. Avoid excess spicy foods. Drink more water. If acidity much more than sometimes. Pantoprazole can be prescribed. If no improvement than endoscopy like procedure planned for further work up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
