Vaginal swab culture is done and doctor said I have herpes. But in the report it shows occasional pus cells, few epithelial cells, gram positive cocci in clusters, gram positive bacili, budding yeast cells,no clue cells seen candida non albicans isolated at end of 48 hrs aerobic incubation @ 37°c. What should I consider herpes or yeast infection please help me worried
You can have infection with both herpes and candida. Your report shows growth of candida in culture. So fungus infection possibility also there. However, if sample not collected in sterile way then fungus growth could be from contamination. I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for examination and discuss your case.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
