Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have been recently diagnosed with hiatus hernia at the lower part of my esophagus. I had been taking 30 mg Prevacid for 20+ years for gerd and have been bumped up to 40mg Nexium after my diagnosis. If this newer and stronger medication does not solve my problem, could/would cannabis oil help ? TIA Roger
hi, i can understand your concern. if hiatus hernia is small it can be left alone. for symptoms of acid reflux your doctor has rightly prescribed the medication nexium. if your acid reflex doesnt subside with medication, a surgery by name fundoplication would have to be done for hiatus hernia. there is no medical management of hiatus.
hope i have answered your query. have a nice day
