Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been going through menopause for at least 15 years now. I need to get some relief from this. I have been taking Black Cohosch, estrovin and now trying ambren. I have even tried taking all of them during the day and still have no relief. These flashes come every 15 minutes to half hour but when taking all they seem to ease up when taking all of these drugs. How long do these last and what can I do to ease the hot flashes?
Hello, It is very unusual for menopause symptoms to last this long. The average is about 5 years. I think your doctor needs to do a thorough evaluation to make sure that there is not another cause. If not then you may need to be placed on hormone replacement to treat the symptoms if you do not have any reasons that this cannot be done. Regards
