General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If the cycles are coming at regular intervals then there is no need to worry. With iron supplementation and a healthy diet the periods will return to their regular flow in few months.

Hormonal tests that have been prescribed by her gynaecologist are also necessary to rule out any hormonal disturbance.

Since the periods are coming at regular intervals, it is not going to affect her fertility. You can plan for your next baby.

Do get the hormonal tests done and if everything is normal then there is no need to worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
