How Can Left Chest Pain Be Treated?

I have a friend who has pain in left side of chest When he pushes down and massages it. It seems to ease the pain Have has chest ultrasound and ct scan with and without contrast Dr says maybe costochondritis Not sure whether this is a real diagnosis because read up on that diagnosis and symptoms do not relate What do u think??

thanks for your query on HCM...
most common reason for left sided chest pain is heart attack...
better do get an ECG done,
after interpreting it, it will give an idea as to what exactly is the problem,
do visit a physician,
let him diagnose the condition through varieties of tests...
dont have a doubt about their interpretation..
most of the times they will be right...
after diagnosing, do take appropriate treatment..
things will surely improve...
