How Can Lower Backache Be Treated?

I felt a pop in my lower back many years ago at work. Ever since then, my lower back has never felt the same. Now, I can t even do the dishes with out my back hurting and back feeling tired and tight. They took x-rays and done MRI s and don t see anything wrong. What could be causing my back to feel this way?
