My sister was diagnosed with multiple myeloma though shed has no symtoms. She was recently given remlimed and decatron. She suffered 2 small strokes and anemia. She was taken off those drugs after the stroke. She has assumed her old feeling good and strong. They want to do an infusion. We are not sure that we want more drugs that may send her into illness again

Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. Siddartha's Response
Hello,
Revlimid (lenalidomide) is the treatment of choice for multiple myeloma. Stroke is the side effect for the drugs which your sister had used. Another treatment option is also there; drug by name Bortezomib. It is also recommended for the treatment of multiple myeloma. Please consult oncologist or hematologist for good treatment and their protocols.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Siddartha
