How Can Numbness And Neuropathy In The Legs Be Treated?
2008 I had a cervical laminoplasty of C5 6 &7. With improved spinal fluid flow and meds, I have improved greatly but still have numbness and neuropathy. About 4 months ago, I have noticed pain on the back of my upper legs and pressure points on the back of my knees. I have a neurologist that I follow up with yearly. Is this spine issues or muscles?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for the query. I understand your concern. It can be lumber spinee ( disc problem)or sciatic notch (pyriformis muscle )where scciatic nerve is pressed tocause the pain . MRI would reveil the cause followed by pain medicines/physio therapy or surgery if needful. Thanks
