Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello...i suffered a spiral fibula fracture 8 weeks ago. Got the go ahead 2 weeks ago to do FWB. I can walk SLOWLY without pain. Can t seem to pick up the speed, but guess that will take time. The one thing is I cannot raise up on my tippy toes on the BL. Can do both legs, but I feel it. I decided not to have surgery. There was about 2mm displacement, and most doctors said I could go either way (surgery). The break was pretty much on ankle bone. Should I be super concern about not being able to be on toes? Or just keep working towards that? THANKS
Fibulafracture can be managed with out the surgery. You can chose for physiotherapy to improve movement and disability. Consult an orthopedic and he will direct you accordingly.
