Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can Pain And Pressure In A Fractured Wrist Be Treated?
I broke my wrist 3 weeks ago and a cast was put on well it was so tight and painful I had to go to urgent care and they put a slit in it which relieved the pressure si I went bach Thursday and they shortened the casr as well as puttinh a new one on well it is so painful just like the first one should I go and do that once again to relieve the pressure.
The cast if it is too tight then it can go for necrosis of the underlying tissue. So, it should not be too tight not too loose. It should hurt you all time but not too much pressure to cause you insufferable pain.
So you should decide if your pain is little tolerable then do not go. If it is too much paining, then please go and get it loosened up.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
