How Can Pain Due To Multiple Thoracic Osteophytes Be Treated?

I have increasing thoracic pain and the doctors here have found several osteophytes just where my pain starts and wraps around my right side and squeezes my stomach? Anyway now even slight movement to the side or sitting up straight hurts. Do you have any advice?

Hi,

Okay, first of all, that is not a normal place for osteophytes. ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS or DISH (associated with diabetes) are treatable. There's surgery to get rid of the osteophytes but the underlying disease needs to be sorted out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
