Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband is on keytruda on the 6th treatment and he is having joint pain in the hips when he gets up rom a chait and it takes a bit of wiggling to start walking. Should we be concerned? How can he treat this so that he can get back into walking?
If I were your treating doctor,I recommend, -Getting investigations done like MRI spine ,Xray Hip joint. You need to visit your treating doctor for it. -Anti inflammatory analgesics like acetaminophen twice a day for couple of days for pain relief. -Can apply warm compresses at lower back and hip region for 15-30 minutes 3 -4 times in a day. -Muscle strengthening and relaxing exercises of back and legs will help build strength and posture. You may consult physical therapist for that.
Hope this information helps. Wish him speedy recovery
