How Can Pain In The Lower Back After An Injury Be Treated?
i fell off my roof (about a 9 ft fall) two weeks ago and landed on my butt and back i was x rayed and it showed no problems . but i have bad pain in my sides when i take the load off my spine and put pressure back in it it hurts real bad standing and walking is ok but if i lift my legs off the ground it hurts and worse when i apply my weight back to it .it also hurts bad to roll over ant night or try to get out of bed .
Back pain and muscle strain cal last up to 4-6 weeks after a fall. But since you are complaining of increased pain particularly while lying down, raising legs and getting out of bed, I would like to look into any bone injury or slipped disc. Xrays do not always show subtle bone and disc injuries. More detailed imaging studies like CT/MRI scanning is needed. Please follow up with your doctor to get necessary evaluation done. Meanwhile, take rest, apply ice pack for first 48 hours followed by heat and take Ibuprofen (if not allergic) for pain.
Hope I was able to help you Please address any more concerns Regards, Dr.Lekshmi
