How Can Pain In The Sacroiliac Joint Be Treated?

I am having pain in the back left area, called the sacral iliac area and its very intense when I do certain moves, like getting up from a chair then it will alleviate when I am walking but it has not gone away in 2 weeks and seems to get worse right before a bowel movement.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Pain in the back can be due to injury of the bones of the spine or the surrounding muscles or the nerves in the area.

The only way to determine which is involved would be to be assessed by your doctor, this would involve examination and imaging such as an x ray.

Rest, warm compress 2 to 3 times daily, pain medication such as ibuprofen or naproxen.
Additional treatment would depend on the exact cause.

I hope this helps
