Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can Pain In The Temporal Mandible Joint Be Treated?
I have been diagnosed with temporal mandible joint pain by my doctor. I was given pain medication by my physician but my prescription has run out. He advised me to try a warm compress for my ear and jaw pain. What should I try instead of pain medication? Should I try to get more pain medication?
If you are in pain is better if you take pain medications. Continue to take the same medications as prescribed by your doctor. If you can't remember even other medications such as Advil or naproxen or acetaminophen can be used for pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
