Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have arthritis bad and all my joints ache continually. I have had back surgery and had both knees replaced one twice. I take oxycodone and wear fentanyl patch daily. I like to be very active which is good for my diabetice but the constant pain wears me down. My fingers are bent and distorted also. I feel real good and are always happy despite all my pain so my friends say. I am a little over weight but not much. When i get a blow up when the arthritis gets worse with weather changes etc. my pain meds don t cover it. I do excercises to help with the pain but don t like the down time as my Dr. says I can t take much more. I also take Lyrica and Cymbalta. Thanks
I think overmedication may lead to damage to the kidney. So avoiding the same will be good. Doing exercises and diet should help reduce weight, improve muscle strength, and reduce the joint pains. As your condition indicates that we need more of the exercises to be looked out for than taking more medicine I will advise you to arrange a meetup with a diet and nutrition for the weight management and physiotherapist for the exercise plan.
In my clinical practice of over 12 years, most cases have been helped with exercise and diet.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
