How Can Painful Arthritis In The Knees Be Treated?

Hi, I found out last October that I have arthritis in both of my knees, I m female and overweight, but I have lost 50 pounds since I found about my condition, but now my pain is severe and it s hard for me to walk sometimes without feeling like I m going to fall, it feels like my knee is slipping out of joint and then goes back in and it causes extreme pain, I wanted to go to the emergency room today because I ve been dealing with this for 2 weeks and my pain medicine isn t taking away the pain anymore and my job requires a lot of walking and up and down from sitting at a desk, so my question is should I go to the emergency room

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello there,
can we know the type of arthritis you have?
your knees need to be examined and X rayed with few blood tests like blood cell counts, blood sugar level,RAF,blood uric acid , blood calcium, blood vitamin D3 level and CRP to identify the type of arthritis you have to appropriately treat the condition.
you need to visit ER to save further damage to knees.
till then give rest to knees.
apply voveran gel.
try to avoid stairs.
tablet ultracet P you can try for pain.
regards
