Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I started getting petechiae about 1 month ago. I take aleve for my osteo and my Dr. Had me go off of it thinking it was the cause. Since I have been off, I have had petechia2 more times. I work 12 hour shifts on the weekend and it seems to happen the last 2 times after my shifts. I only get the petechiae on the medial aspect of the lower leg. What type of Dr. should I see. No other problems to correlate with this.\
You should revise your medications. Blood thinning is caused by Petechie and maybe you should lower dose. Taking vitamin C can help somehow. Also you can do a total blood count and platelets count.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
