How Can Prolonged Menstrual Bleeding Be Treated?

Hi. I’ve been on my periods for about 15 days now with the last 7-8 days having moderate-heavy bleeding. What dosage of Meprate or Pause MF should I take and in what frequency to stop this and regularise cycle? I usually have very regular periods and have no idea how this one cycle got messed up :( I had an Ultrasound done last year which showed I had PCOD but even since then my periods have been regular with the exception of maybe one month. I sometimes take isotretinoin (10 or 20mg) for my acne and pimple outbreak. Pls advise.

Hello,

First, avoid Isotretinoin and take Meprate drug three times for 5 days. For PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Disease), you may take Metformin drug.

If you have any further queries, then you can come back to Healthcare Magic.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi
