Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been prescribed a strong hydrocortisone cream for Lichen Scleroses. My face has become puffy. Each day gets worse yet my OB-GYN says I will have to remain on this cream 3 times a week after the initial 6 weeks. Is there any way to prevent this puffiness? I am 72 years old.
Topical hydrocortisone is unlikely to cause the puffiness. Edematous cause needs to be looked for. An image, if possible can be uploaded to view the puffiness whether its thyroid related or if there is fluid overload. Treatment would depend upon the cause.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
