How Can Rashes On The Legs While On Lisinopril Be Treated?
I am taking 20 mg lisinopril each am and 20 mg in the pm. In the pm, I also take 5 mg amlodipine bensylate. It works wel; except I have side effects (petechia rash on both lower legs. What can I do. My doctor feels it is the amlodipine and we tried eliminating it but when so, my bp rises 10, then 20, then 30 points. Any suggestions.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I think the rash is caused by Lisinopril. You can change it to another drug used to lower blood pressure like Losartan or talk to your doctor for any other alternative.
Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
