How Can Recurrent Shingles Be Treated?
I have a friend with escrutiating/recurring shingles. Doctors can t give her a certain medicine until she is 50 years or older. WHY? She says it feels like acid on her face and long nails going through her eyes and skull. This sounds to me like inhumane torture. Do you have any suggestions?

Some advices that I can give to you are:
-Use antivirals such as acyclovir
-use painkillers like acetaminophen
- You might get lidocaine (Lidoderm, Xylocaine) for pain
There aren’t home remedies for shingles. But there are things you can do to help your skin heal
