How Can Retinal Inflammation Be Treated?

what treatment is there for inflammation f the retina. I am 65 years old and I had a marked vision loss over night. Diagnosed as inflammation of the retain... the severity of vision loss seems to be on a loop... going from very bad 20/200 to when I can almost see clearly. at first my right eye was worse ... but for the last two day it is now my left eye too...my computer screen is only inches from my face and I have enlarged the font size to be on line now. I am 5'10" at 226 I have a 22 year history of heart infections and I am a brittle diabetic... diabetes is controlled with 4 daily insulin shots/diet.. and the retinologist said the vision loss was not linked to diabetic. but he did not know the cause. the blurred vision loss started a day before I knew I had streph endocarditis... can you help- have you heard of anything like this... ?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
your vision loss is seviour and diabetes is also in higher side. it appears to be diabetic retinopathy. it appears macula is involved. how can it be that retinologist can not diagnose reason of vision loss. what about your BP. you are having streptococcal endocarditis. each problem should be treated as per requirement. heart ailment cannot be linked directly to eye problem. for that long acting penicillin is required. you are on insulin for dibeties. diet you must have controlled. increase your physical activity. proper follow up of both condition to be done.
