How Can Severe Backache Be Treated?

I have severe back pain due to numerous injuries riding horses. Now at age 70 the spinal injections do not work. I have arthritis as well as Scoliosis. Allergic to Tylenol. Aspirin takes the edge off . On prescriptions to aid me but I do not have a quality of life due to the severe pain.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query.I understand your concern.
There is possibility of spinal/disc problem due to horse riding.... This can cause nerve compression /irritation...which will not respond to normal pain medicines.
Consult a nurophysician for expert advise... Drug like Gabapentine would relieve you... dose &medication needs to be sdvised by an expert after examination &imaging investigation along with physiotherapy.
Thanks.
