Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 20 year old daughter has a severe case of eczema. My face has swollen & a lump developed under my chin...it comes and goes. She was in the emergency room last night with an asthmatic episode. The dr suspected sepsis. Numerous blood tests ruled it out. Her symptoms: back pain, wheezing, flu White blood cells were normal. Potassium level was low- was given a pill. Is this eczema causing these symptoms or are they mutually exclusive.

How Can Severe Eczema On The Face Be Treated?
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic Eczema can cause swelling and the lump as part of the body s inflammatory reaction (the lump is possibly an enlarged lymph node). The inflammatory state can cause an asthmatic attack to occur. She may have a viral illness that is causing the symptoms, this can sometimes be associated with a low or normal white cell count. I hope this helps
