How Can Severe Hives All Over The Body Be Treated?

For a severe hive, I got a prescription of Prednisone yesterday. Dosage direction is 6 pills a day for three days (one pill is 10 mg), then gradually to be reduced using up 37 pills for 9 days. My hives are all over the body, giving rising-up patches, red, severe itchiness. I got Triamicinolone also. Today (second day) I felt more skin rash, never ending itchiness, and swelling of face, neck and a part of lips. Can I stop Prednisone now since I cannot contact Dr. on weekends? I would like to continue Benadryl and Triamicinolone only now and would like to talk to my Dr. On Monday. I know all the suggestions are consult your doctor but I do not want these side effects for two more days.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if it is the steroid being taken in tapper form then it may not be any bad side you will be having and it is nothing to worry else the condition might have been treated with second generation antihistamine alone and steroid may not be needed any more, hope this information helps.
