General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

For acute attacks of migraine, take tablet paracetamol 325/500 mg alone or with tablet caffeine 8 hourly.

If not relieved, use alternative medicine tablet Sumatriptan 6.25 to 12.5 mg. If vomiting is accompanied by headaches, use Domperidone or Ondansetron.

As it is chronic disease, it is prophylactic treatment is also required. It includes medication like propranolol, Flunarizine, valproate, nitrendipine et cetera.

Started with single medication with lowest therapeutic dose, if no benefit is observed increase dose up to maximum or add another medication. But for these prescription is required and you need to consult physician for that.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Hiren Hirpara
