How Can Severe Pain After A Hernia Surgery Be Treated?

yes i had hernia surgery in july both sides left side was double.. there is something hitting a nerve and the pain is un bearable but is not all the time.. my question is can you get sick from that that i have has headache severe. chills and just want to sleep all the time ? or just a coincidence and its the flue?
