How Can Severe Toothache With Pain In The Jaws And Ears Be Cured?
I'm having severe toothache pain in jaw and ear I take Plavix and dentist won't do root canal until they get Dr. ok. I called Dr. I can't see him for a week. What can I take to ease the pain until then? The pain is unbearable a I can't eat or sleep.
I can understand your concern and agony due to pain..
It looks like a deep decayed tooth that has led to abscess formation..
Pain in jaw and ears is radiating pain from the decayed tooth site..
Due to inflammation of the nerves and pressure caused due to pus formed there is severe pain that at times even does not completely resolve with painkillers but still can become tolerable..
I would suggest you to consult a dentist or Emergency room and get evaluated and at-least start with a script of antibiotics like Amoxicillin and painkillers..
Apply cool compresses over the face and apply love oil over the painful tooth or bite over a piece of garlic in that place.. Take soft and semi-solid diet..
Consult your Physician so that he can examine you and plavix can be discontinued for about a week so that your root canal treatment can be done without the risk of having excessive bleeding which can be common with patients on blood thinners..
Hope this helps..
