How Can Shingles Be Treated?

I m looking up medication for my son s shingles that he has on his forehead and eye and side of his face. He went to urgent care and received a prescription. I m not sure of the name of it. What medication is recommended for shingles? He is 48 yrs. old and this happened on Nov. 21st.

tab.acivir(acyclovir)800mg five times daily for 5-10 days..if is having severe pain postgerpetic neuralgia, add pregalin
