For the last few years, my sinus drip into the back of my throat. I let it go. I then become sluggish, extemely tired and find it hard to breathe. I go to my doctor and he checks my check and says there is nothing wrong and sends me on my way. About a day later I`m so light headed I cannot walk down the hall. Now I go to the doctor, tell him I have a sinus infection , he gives me anti biotics and it clears right up. I start bring up large amount of transparent flem. Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms it is probably clear that you have SINUSITIS and seems to be due to allergy and the episodes are more in winter due to cold weather causing more of congestion..
As you presently have an episode of Sinusitis I would advise you to consult an Otolarynglogist and get evaluated so that he can do a thorough evaluation and required investigations like PNS View [ x ray], blood tests, culture of phlegm for vial or bacterial infection as well as blood test for ruling out allergic reaction..

After a confirmatory diagnosis is made he can advise you to take antibiotics like Amoxicillin, antiallergics like Cetrizine or Fexofenadone [allegra], decongestants like Pseudoephadrine [sudafed], steam inhalations and saline nasal spray.

At times surgical approach is planned if medical treatment does not improve the condition for draining the sinuses and removal of any polyp or tumor in the sinus.

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
