How Can Skin Burn On The Upper Body Be Treated?

Hi Doctor, I poured hot tea and faced some burns on my upper body , i visited one doc , he gave tetanus and taxim o 200 mg , which i have been using from last 3 days. and also was applying silverex . Today morning i noticed slight pus coming out. So i visited one of the dermatologist . Dermatologist suggested to apply epitheliale ah cream in morning and evening , mupirocin ointment afternoon and night and also gave augmentin 625 to have in morning and night . Is this ok ? also wanna know how long it will take to heal these and how to prevent the scar formation , im worried about the scars its gonna form as its on my upper body .

Hello,

Development of scar depends on the depth of the burn. In case the burn is superficial, the scar will fade away in a few days.

If the burn is deep enough, the scar may not fade away soon.

You can take cosmetic treatment in the form of a laser to lighten the scar.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
