Good evening, I m a 50 year old female I notice I snore at night. I don t drink alcohol nor smoke cigarettes. I eat right, I m 5 1 120 lbs going through menopause. I m Alaska native, no diabetes, nor heart conditions. Low blood pressure. I would like to know where would I go at a hospital or medical center to see a doctor about this apnea and snoring?
Well you seem to have airway obstruction when you sleep(OSA) or nasal obstruction. Do you feel sleepy at daytime? You need to be clinically examined and if required a sleep study may be done. Sleep specialist treats this. You can also meet an internal medicine doctor. This can be well controlled else OSA may lead to serious conditions like hypertension, metabolic diseases cardiac problems and even to stroke.
