How Can Sore Throat Along With Fever And Chills Be Treated?

Thank you. Symptoms include major sore throat w/ swollen glands since last Friday. At that pt., I did have a fever on Sat. and Sunday w/ some chills a couple of days ago. Thought it was getting better, saw my Kaiser doc last Tues. He did not test me for Strep and I now have an ear ached (I believe that was one of the 1st things he asked and at that time, I did not have an ear ache. It s subtle and slightly annoying/painful. My bp when I saw him Tues. was 87 over 53 which is low for me. I have made another appt. today since the new ear ache sypmtom occurred last night. I am generally in good health, rarely sick. I now have a constant cough, a little weakness (not major) and the swollen glands remain. Any specific questions I should ask the doc today as my regular doctor is not in the office. I do not want to miss another weekend of work where I am psychotherapist (MFT) at a Recovery Progam. Thanks.

-drink liquids
-rest
