How Can Sore Throat Be Treated?

I have a sore throat that has been coming and going for the past couple weeks. If feels very dry at the back of my throat and I don t know if it s sinus related. Am I OK taking clarithromycin which I have from a previous staff infection and can I take something like Tylenol p.m. at the same time to help me sleep?

Hello,

Complete Clarithromycin course as per suggestion of physician. You can take tablet paracetamol 325 to 500 Mg when fever comes, not more than 8 hourly.

Do gargles with lukewarm water salt added and avoid cold things. It will take 2 to 3 days to resolve.
